A work in progress
Brandon and I have been blessed to be able to spend a lot of time together this holiday season. Usually Brandon is a work-a-holic, but this year he has taken some much needed time off for the holidays. My mom got us some NYC inspired Christmas gifts, and one of them was this puzzle. It is definitely a work in progress and we have been working on it all weekend. Brandon has faith that we will finish it before we leave for NY on Wednesday. Stay tuned for the finished product!

From the past
I came home the other night and Brandon had laid out ornaments on the coffee table that I didn't recognize. We had already decorated our tree so I immediately thought he must have gone and and bought more. He then informed me that when he was visiting his dad's house he found some old things of his including beautiful ornaments from former students back when he taught pre-school at Rancho Viejo. Some of them were handmade and all of them were given with love.
It touched me. Here is my favorite one!

Going to New York!
In the Christmas Spirit
I haven't really been in the Christmas spirit yet,
but I think I'm coming around now that we have our tree.
It just so happens that Brandon and I finally decided to go out and get a tree on the rainiest day of the season so far. It was a disaster during the day but we got a great outcome! I even put Christmas lights up on our balcony!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

My daily drive
Although I have a pretty rough drive to work, one of the great things about it is I get the station Air 1 (90.1) clear as day on the radio almost all the way through. I love listening to worship music! The other day, on my nightly drive home, I heard this great new Christmas song from the band Capital Lights. Its called "His Favorite Christmas Story". It has such a sweet story to it, it truely made me smile.
